The Valeo ALIF Spacer is made of a silicon nitride, a proven material in high performance applications such as jet engines and race cars, where strength, durability and reliability are crucial. Implants are manufactured under very precise conditions at the molecular, micro and macro levels to create silicon nitride implants that are robust, fracture tough, hydrophilic and conducive to bony apposition.
